Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Provide Free Solar Systems to 120,000 Households in Merged Districts; Rs 13 Billion Project Approved

**Peshawar:** In a major initiative for the public, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved a Rs 13 billion project to provide free or subsidized solar systems to 120,000 deserving households in the merged districts.
Each household will receive a 2-kilowatt solar system, including an inverter and other necessary equipment. The cost per solar system is estimated between Rs 255,000 and Rs 300,000, which will be fully funded by the government.
The initiative aims to promote clean energy, reduce electricity costs for low-income families, and improve access to power in remote areas of the province.
