Pakistan Supports Somalia’s Territorial Integrity; Israeli Minister’s Visit to Somaliland Is Alarming: Ishaq Dar

**Islamabad (Qudrat Daily):**
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held meetings with several foreign ministers of OIC member states and the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on the sidelines of an extraordinary session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar led the Pakistani delegation at the extraordinary meeting of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers. The session was convened to deliberate on the serious implications arising from Israel’s move to recognize Somaliland, a region of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
In his address, Ishaq Dar strongly condemned Israel’s illegal recognition of Somaliland and described the visit of an Israeli official to Somaliland as unjustified and highly provocative. He termed these actions as political aggression and a direct attack on Somalia’s internationally recognized borders and territorial integrity.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister reiterated Pakistan’s firm rejection of any proposal involving the forced displacement of the Palestinian people. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled commitment to the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine on the basis of pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
While appreciating the OIC’s principled stance and continued support for the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, Ishaq Dar urged the organization to further intensify its efforts to ensure the realization of the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
On the sidelines of the extraordinary meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister also held meetings with several foreign ministers of OIC member states and the OIC Secretary General.
The convening of this extraordinary session reflected the collective resolve of OIC member states and conveyed a clear message to the international community regarding the importance of respecting the principles of state sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Ishaq Dar’s participation in the extraordinary meeting once again demonstrated Pakistan’s strong and practical support for Somalia’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
