Quetta Development Authority on the Brink of Collapse Amid Corruption and Mismanagement, Millions Wasted from National Treasury

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta):** The Quetta Development Authority (QDA), a key government and public institution, is reportedly facing a severe administrative crisis, with alleged corruption and mismanagement raising serious concerns among citizens and stakeholders.

Sources indicate that over the past two and a half years, the authority has failed to initiate any meaningful development projects for the city. Meanwhile, alleged financial irregularities and commission-based practices have continued unabated.

According to reports, a residential scheme had already completed development works—including streetlights, tile paving, drainage systems, and parks—using funds previously collected from allottees. However, these same projects were later re-included in official government development programs, resulting in the misuse of millions of rupees from the national treasury.

Public representatives and civic activists have expressed alarm at the situation, calling for immediate audits and accountability measures to prevent further misuse of public funds and to restore effective urban development in Quetta.
