Coldest Night of the Season Recorded in Karachi as Temperature Drops to Single Digits

Karachi experienced the coldest night of the ongoing winter season as the temperature fell to single digits, with cold weather conditions intensifying across the city.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the minimum temperature in Karachi was recorded at 9.3 degrees Celsius, while by 10:00 am the temperature remained around 11 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature for today is expected to reach 24 degrees Celsius.
The cold spell is being attributed to chilly winds blowing from Balochistan, which have significantly lowered temperatures in the port city. The PMD reported that the humidity level stands at 43 percent, and cold, dry winds are blowing from the northeast at a speed of 7 kilometers per hour.
It is noteworthy that about a week ago, the Meteorological Department had forecast an increase in cold intensity in Karachi, predicting that temperatures could drop into the single-digit range, which has now materialized.
