Anti-Corruption Initiates Investigation into Balochistan Sports Department Over Alleged Fund Mismanagement

**Quetta:** The **Directorate of Inquiries and Anti-Corruption Establishment Balochistan** has launched a probe into the **Sports and Youth Affairs Department** over alleged **illegal fund manipulation and misuse of authority**.
According to the anti-corruption agency, a complaint claimed that since **January 1, 2024**, departmental funds allocated for various purposes were allegedly misappropriated through fraud and improper use of powers.
**Deputy Director Sheikh Munir Ahmed** directed that the department provide a comprehensive set of documents, including:
* Event calendars
* Team and athlete details, results, and statistical records
* Financial and budgetary documents
* Reports on facilities and equipment
* Governance and compliance records
* Media coverage and promotional material
* Complete procurement records
* Other relevant information
The Directorate has instructed the **Secretary of Sports** to submit the verified records immediately to facilitate a timely investigation. The matter has been classified as urgent, with the department required to **prioritize the provision of all requested information**.
This move signals the government’s determination to ensure **transparency and accountability in the allocation and use of public funds** in Balochistan’s sports sector.
