Actress Alia Ali Says Male Crew Were Asked to Look Away During Bold Scenes

Islamabad: Renowned Pakistani actress and model Alia Ali has once again made headlines following a controversial statement about her experience while shooting bold scenes and wearing revealing outfits on set.

Alia Ali began her showbiz career in 2010 with the PTV drama Zindaan and later gained recognition through popular dramas such as Be-Gunah, Rang Laga, Khalish, Gul o Gulzar, Yeh Hai Zindagi, Bandhan, Bharosa Pyar Tera, Taqdeer, and Kaffara. Most recently, she received praise for her role in the drama Main Manto Nahi Hoon. She also enjoys a strong social media presence, with over 2 million followers on TikTok and 1.4 million on Instagram.

During a recent appearance on Nadia Khan’s morning show for the promotion of her film Item, Alia spoke candidly about shooting bold scenes. She clarified that she never objected to bold scenes or costumes, stating that there was always a reason behind them.

She added that if the film had not been made by a woman, she might not have agreed to be part of the project. Alia revealed that the film’s producer, Huma Sheikh, would announce her arrival on set so that the male crew members could look away, as she felt uncomfortable wearing inappropriate clothing in front of non-related men.

According to Alia, once these arrangements were made, she was able to perform and shoot her scenes comfortably.

Her statement has sparked mixed reactions on social media. While some users mocked her stance and made sarcastic remarks, others criticized her explanation and described it as unserious.
