Freezing Cold Grips Quetta and Northern Balochistan as Gas Shortages Leave Citizens Struggling

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat):** Following recent rainfall and snowfall in northern Balochistan, including Quetta, the region is experiencing extreme cold, leaving residents facing severe hardships. While the precipitation has stopped, temperatures continue to drop, and the lack of gas supply has further intensified public difficulties.
In Quetta, Ziarat, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Mastung, and surrounding areas, continuous temperature declines have disrupted daily life. Residents are struggling to cook meals and keep their homes warm due to gas shortages, forcing many to rely on expensive LPG, firewood, and other alternative heating methods.
The rising cost of fuel has placed additional financial pressure on the poor and middle-income households, while local businesses are also being affected. Citizens have urged the government and relevant authorities to ensure gas supply during this severe cold spell and to take immediate measures to provide relief.
According to the Meteorological Department, while the recent rain and snowfall have ended, the cold conditions are expected to persist for the next few days, and residents have been advised to take necessary precautions.
