Open Courts to Address Public Issues; Complete Ban on Plastic Bags Ordered: Chief Secretary Balochistan

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat):** A conference of Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners, chaired by Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakil Qadir Khan, was held to discuss key administrative decisions for the province. The meeting focused on temporary appointments in the Education and Health departments, immediate resolution of public grievances through open courts, strict enforcement of price control, a complete ban on plastic bags, timely completion of ongoing development projects, and their positive projection via social media.

Additional Chief Secretary Interior Muhammad Hamza Shafqat, Additional Chief Secretary Development Zahid Saleem, Secretary S&GAD Syed Faisal Ahmed, Secretary Information Imran Khan, and Secretary Education (Schools) Asfandyar Khan participated, along with divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners via video link.

The Chief Secretary instructed that temporary appointments in relevant departments be finalized immediately to activate inactive schools. He directed all divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners to regularly hold open courts to provide instant solutions to public issues related to water, electricity, health, and education, emphasizing that relief to the people is the government’s responsibility.

Regarding price control, strict measures were ordered to monitor food items, prevent artificial price hikes, activate price control committees, and take prompt action against inflation.

For environmental protection, the Chief Secretary ordered the full enforcement of the ban on plastic bags. Emphasizing development, he instructed that all ongoing projects—including schools, hospitals, roads, and water supply schemes—be completed within their deadlines, and their progress be promoted on social media to highlight the provincial government’s performance to the public.
