Dr Yasmin Rashid to Challenge Election Tribunal Verdict in Court

**Islamabad:** Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr Yasmin Rashid has decided to approach the court against the decision of the Lahore Election Tribunal regarding NA-130.
According to sources, Dr Yasmin Rashid finalized her legal strategy after consultations with her legal team in jail and agreed to challenge the tribunal’s verdict. She has instructed her lawyer, Rana Mudassar Umar, to immediately contest the decision in court to safeguard her legal rights.
Rana Mudassar Umar confirmed that a formal application has been submitted to obtain a certified copy of the tribunal’s decision. He said that the petition will be filed in the relevant court as soon as the certified copy is received.
Dr Yasmin Rashid’s legal counsel maintained that the election tribunal failed to properly examine the facts of the case and dismissed her election petition on technical grounds.
It is worth noting that the Lahore Election Tribunal had earlier declared Dr Yasmin Rashid’s election petition against Nawaz Sharif as non-maintainable, prompting the decision to pursue a legal challenge.
