Complete Ban Imposed on Kite Flying in Hyderabad Amid Rising Accidents

**Islamabad:** Authorities have imposed a complete ban on kite flying in Hyderabad in view of increasing accidents linked to the activity. A formal notification has also been issued in this regard.

According to details, the Hyderabad Commissioner has enforced Section 144 across the district with immediate effect. The notification states that kite flying, as well as the purchase, sale, manufacturing and storage of kites and kite strings, has been strictly prohibited.

The order further clarifies that no gathering or activity related to kite flying will be allowed. In case of any violation, the concerned police station’s inspector will be authorized to take legal action against the offenders.

The ban has been imposed due to a rise in accidents caused by kite flying and will remain in force from January 1 to March 31, 2026. Authorities have urged citizens to comply with the restrictions in the interest of public safety.
