Washington: US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump attended a grand New Year’s Eve event at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, where they extended wishes of peace to people around the world.
When asked by reporters whether he had a New Year’s resolution, President Trump gave a brief response, saying, “Yes, my resolution is peace — peace on Earth.”

It is worth noting that Donald Trump often presents himself as a champion of peace and claims that he helped end eight wars in 2025, including conflicts between India and Pakistan, Thailand and Cambodia, and disputes in the Middle East. He has also said that he remains involved in efforts toward a potential peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
The president’s remarks came as part of New Year celebrations, during which he emphasized his desire for global stability and harmony in the year 2026.
