2025: A Year of Weddings in Pakistan’s Showbiz World

**Islamabad:** As 2025 draws to a close, the year has been marked by celebrations in the lives of Pakistan’s entertainment stars, with many tying the knot and sharing their joyous moments with fans. Unlike earlier times, when weddings were attended by large gatherings of fellow artists and journalists, today celebrities announce their marriages and share pictures via social media.

Among the notable weddings this year, seasoned actors Goher Rasheed and Kubra Khan confirmed their marriage in January 2025 and held their Nikah in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, in February. A private dinner was later organized for close friends, with videos and pictures going viral online, reflecting the couple’s love and chemistry, which blossomed after their drama *Jannat Se Aagay*.

Another high-profile wedding was that of actress Mawra Hussain and actor Ameer Gilani, whose wedding photos, taken at Lahore’s historic Shahi Qila, were shared on Instagram. Mawra captioned the pictures: “Among all the chaos, I found you,” using the hashtag *#MawraAmeerHoGayi*. Mawra has worked in both Pakistani films and Bollywood.

Actress Neelum Munir also celebrated her marriage abroad to Mohammad Rashid, which was a private affair. Rising star Ahmad Ali Akbar, an internationally recognized actor known for keeping his personal life private, married social media content creator and lawyer Mahem Batool earlier this year.

Other notable weddings in 2025 included actor-model Umar Shehzad, singer Aima Baig, and popular TikToker Rabeca Khan, making it a year of love and union across Pakistan’s showbiz industry.

This year’s wave of celebrity weddings highlights the blend of tradition and modernity, with social media playing a central role in sharing life’s special moments with fans.
