Sindh Cabinet Approves Rs2.9 Billion for Development of Industrial Areas in Karachi

Karachi: The Sindh Cabinet has approved Rs2.9 billion for the development and improvement of industrial areas in Karachi.

Speaking at the provincial cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that the funds will be used to repair roads and drainage systems across all industrial zones in the city. He emphasized that the Sindh government is committed to promoting industrial growth.

The Chief Minister added that a separate development package will be announced for industrial estates in other cities of the province. The Industries Department is working on plans for these areas, and the package will be unveiled once the development projects are finalized.

CM Murad Ali Shah also highlighted the public grievances received during public hearings (Awami Kachehris) held across 23 districts, which included complaints related to law and order, policing, health services, municipal facilities, water supply, roads, irrigation, and education.

He instructed all departments to address these complaints and submit detailed reports. Public hearings will resume from the second week of January, and the Chief Minister warned that officials failing to resolve complaints would face strict action.
