JUI-F Balochistan Chief Criticizes Provincial Government Performance

Quetta (Online): Ameer of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Balochistan and Senator Maulana Abdul Wasay has strongly criticized the performance of the current provincial government, saying it has failed to meet public expectations and cannot be termed satisfactory in any way.
He said that during half of its tenure, the government has given the people of Balochistan nothing but deprivation, disappointment, and hollow assurances. Despite being rich in natural resources, Balochistan remains among the most underdeveloped and neglected provinces of the country, he added.
Maulana Abdul Wasay said that there is no one to listen to the grievances of the poor and distressed public, while those sitting in the corridors of power have turned a blind eye to public issues. Basic facilities, employment opportunities, and law and order remain a distant dream, whereas rulers are prioritizing personal interests and short-term political maneuvering.
He stated that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam has consistently been targeted through organized political engineering across the country. Elements that allegedly stole the party’s public mandate and tried to establish themselves as political forces are now struggling unsuccessfully to survive through deception, opportunism, and artificial politics.
The JUI-F Balochistan chief said that his party believes in decency, tolerance, and respect for tribal and social values. Even while in opposition, JUI-F has never violated political, tribal, or democratic traditions and has always given priority to resolving provincial issues over personal or party interests, even at the cost of political losses.
He emphasized that the government must acknowledge JUI-F’s positive, serious, and responsible role, stating that the people of the province are burdened with problems and that JUI-F remains their strongest and most genuine voice.
Maulana Abdul Wasay said that JUI-F is the only party that enjoys representation from all parts of the province, while newly formed and artificial political groups have pushed Balochistan further into crises, uncertainty, and political instability. In contrast, he said, JUI-F has always stood for stability, principles, and public service.
He asserted that the only serious and sustainable solution to Balochistan’s problems lies with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, as it is the custodian of ideology, character, public trust, and a long history of struggle. He added that history bears witness that elements used against JUI-F and its leadership eventually fade away, while parties rooted in principles and public support endure.
Maulana Abdul Wasay expressed these views during his visit to the residence of Bismillah Khan Kakar in Habibzai, Qila Abdullah, where he offered Fateha. He said that while every human being must eventually depart from this world, it is character that lives on in history. He described Bismillah Khan Kakar as a respected figure whose struggles are widely acknowledged.
He concluded by saying that Balochistan is a land rich in talent, traditions, and values, where scholars, tribal elders, and political leaders have earned global recognition, and that the province’s legacy of honor, loyalty, and principled conduct cannot be sacrificed for temporary gains.
