Fake Mark Sheets and Certificates Scandal Uncovered in Balochistan Colleges

Quetta:A major scandal has surfaced in Balochistan, revealing that over the past four years, admissions to medical and other professional colleges were allegedly granted on the basis of fake mark sheets and forged certificates. Following orders from the Balochistan High Court, the Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE) has constituted a committee to scrutinize records and conduct a thorough investigation.

Chairman of the Balochistan Board, Muhammad Ishaq, said that in compliance with the High Court’s directives, a three-member committee has been formed under the leadership of BBISE Controller Zia-ul-Haq Kakar. The committee also includes Under Secretary of the Colleges Department Arshad Ahmed and IT expert Akshay Kumar.

The committee will review records from 2021 to 2025, focusing on students who completed their FSc examinations and secured admissions to medical and other professional colleges. The investigation will involve auditing mark sheets and certificates to determine whether marks were unlawfully altered. As part of the probe, original examination papers will be retrieved, checked online, and compared to identify any discrepancies.

The board has also decided to publish advertisements in one English-language and two Urdu-language newspapers, inviting the public to submit evidence if they possess proof of corruption or unlawful awarding of extra marks. Such evidence will be presented before the committee for further action.

Officials say the investigation aims to ensure transparency, uphold merit, and restore confidence in the examination and admission system across the province.
