Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman Criticizes Privileges for Rulers and Officers, Supports Employees’ Protest in Balochistan

**Quetta:** Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman Baloch, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and MPA, criticized the provincial government and establishment for increasing their own salaries and privileges while ordinary employees struggle under rising inflation. He called for immediate implementation of committee recommendations regarding employees’ demands, including salary, pension, and allowance adjustments.
Speaking at a protest organized by the Balochistan Grand Alliance Employees in front of Quetta Press Club, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman demanded the removal of restrictions on association unions and emphasized the need to standardize salaries across all departments. He also called for time-scale upgrades and fair treatment for all government employees.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman assured that Jamaat-e-Islami fully supports the employees’ protests and will raise their issues in the provincial assembly and on every available platform. He stressed that honest and dedicated employees contribute to the nation’s development, while corruption and misuse of resources by officials and the establishment harm the province and its people.
He further urged collective action to reform the system, secure employees’ rights, and ensure that public resources are used for the welfare of the people rather than personal enrichment.
Later, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman also addressed a gathering in UC-35 Ward 2 to conclude the election campaign of Jamaat-e-Islami’s nominated candidate, Shahir Khan. He thanked local supporters and emphasized that Jamaat-e-Islami represents clean and honest leadership committed to addressing public issues, delivering services with integrity, and overcoming obstacles posed by powerful vested interests.
The event saw a large turnout of local residents, elders, and youth, all pledging active cooperation to maintain public engagement and work toward practical solutions for regional problems.
