Rawalpindi: Stepson Kills Widowed Mother with Axe, Injures Another Woman

Rawalpindi: A tragic incident was reported in the limits of Kallar Syedan police station, where a stepson allegedly killed his widowed mother with an axe and injured another woman.

The incident took place in the Saroba Chaudhryan area. The deceased woman was identified as Chand Bibi, while the injured woman, Raqeeban Bibi, was shifted to the hospital along with the body of the deceased.

Police and forensic teams reached the scene and initiated an investigation into the incident.

The suspect, identified as Muhammad Raza, who had fled the scene, was later arrested by the police. According to police officials, the 45-year-old accused is unmarried and suffers from mental illness.

Police further stated that the suspect frequently engaged in domestic disputes. The deceased widowed woman was over 75 years of age.

Further investigation is underway.
