Dispute Erupts Over Aleema Khan’s Complaint, Key Leader Resigns

**Islamabad:** A controversy triggered by Aleema Khan’s complaint regarding the conduct of the Additional Advocate General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has escalated into internal turmoil within the Insaf Lawyers Forum (ILF), leading to sharp divisions and the resignation of a senior office-bearer.

According to reports, tensions surfaced after Aleema Khan expressed displeasure over the Additional Advocate General’s failure to reach Adiala Jail, prompting questions over his conduct. The issue soon spilled over into the internal affairs of the Insaf Lawyers Forum, intensifying disagreements among its members.

During the unfolding situation, a heated exchange reportedly took place between the Additional Advocate General and the district president of the Insaf Lawyers Forum. The dispute further escalated when discussions on the matter began in the ILF’s official group in Peshawar, where harsh words were exchanged and, according to sources, inappropriate language was also used, worsening the organizational rift.

As the controversy deepened, Insaf Lawyers Forum Peshawar President Mubashir Manzoor announced his resignation in protest. In his statement, he said that the conduct of Additional Advocate General Inam Yousafzai was unacceptable and had made it impossible for him to continue performing his duties effectively. He emphasized that such behavior undermines the dignity, unity, and credibility of the organization.

The incident has exposed growing internal tensions within the Insaf Lawyers Forum, with party insiders expressing concern over the impact of the dispute on the forum’s cohesion and reputation.
