**Islamabad:** The viral meme “Piari Samajh Gayi” has taken social media by storm, making people laugh every time they hear it. But few know the story behind the phrase and the woman who delivered it.
The woman, Subhash Rani Ahuja, a 75-year-old from India, has now gained fame as “Piari Samajh Gayi Auntie.” Indian YouTuber Nishoo Tiwari recently shared her story, revealing how her unique way of speaking captivated audiences worldwide.
Subhash Rani explained that the phrase originated during the COVID-19 pandemic when she was swinging in a park. Two young girls approached her and asked why she visited the park. Subhash replied with humor, describing her activities: exercising, singing bhajans, laughing, and playing. During the conversation, she used her signature phrase, “Piari Samajh Gayi,” which later went viral after a video of her was shared online.
She recounted that she was unaware of the video going viral until her nephew in the United States informed her the following day. Subhash attributed her viral fame to her regular park visits and her cheerful, candid personality.
Subhash Rani also shared glimpses of her personal life, including her retirement in 2011, struggles with depression until 2015, and challenges with her children’s health. Despite these hardships, her sense of humor and positivity shone through, making her an internet sensation.
Today, she embraces her nickname, saying with a smile, “Now I am famous as Piari. People call me that, and I love it.”
