**Islamabad:** Wedding celebrations of Maheen Khan, daughter of internationally renowned Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, became a topic of widespread discussion on social media, drawing both praise and criticism following the release of her wedding pictures.
As images from her mayun and nikah ceremonies went viral, many social media users admired her elegant and stylish outfits. However, some users criticized her choice of attire, particularly because she wore outfits designed by an Indian designer, sparking a fresh debate online.
Responding to the criticism, Maheen Khan chose not to remain silent and addressed her critics directly through social media. She stated that questioning a bride’s personal choices is inappropriate, as a wedding day is one of the most important moments in a person’s life. She emphasized that it was her wedding and she had every right to choose her own outfits and designer.
Maheen further said that people should refrain from unnecessary interference in others’ personal lives. She made it clear that she is free to wear designs by Indian, Afghan, or any other international designer, as it is entirely her personal decision and not open to public judgment.
She also stressed that she was completely satisfied with all her wedding outfits and had selected everything according to her own happiness and preferences.
