Unscheduled Power Outages Plague Quetta, Citizens Suffer from Low Voltage: Pakhtunkhwa MAP

**Quetta:** The Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (MAP) has criticized the ongoing unscheduled power outages across various areas of Quetta, calling for an immediate end to the electricity disruptions that are causing severe hardships for residents.
In an official statement, the party highlighted that electricity is frequently cut off for hours from morning to evening without any prior notice, leaving citizens, especially domestic consumers, mentally stressed and frustrated. The statement also criticized certain sub-offices of Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) for staff absenteeism, unprofessional behavior, and poor customer service, likening employees’ conduct to that of company owners distributing electricity at their discretion.
The areas reportedly affected include Takhtani Bypass, Muslim Ittehad Colony, Pashtun Abad, Shaldara, Pashtun Dara, Jan Muhammad Road, Kowari Road, Zaman Road, Niv Fakir Muhammad Road, Fakir Muhammad Road, Akhtar Muhammad Road, Sirki Road, Kasi Road, Mekangi Road, Khaliq Abad, Double Road, Sariab, Musa Colony, Kachi Bag, Hazarganji, Kakrd Town, Barich Abad, Raisani Town, Alkozai Killi, Ghaus Abad, Lowr Karez, Diba, Hadda, Tarkha, Brori Road, Hazara Town, Mashriqi Bypass, Maghribi Bypass, Ahmed Khan Zai Bypass, Pashtun Bagh, Khurot Abad, Khizai, Samungli, Nohusar, Ghobarg, Balili, Kachlagh, Chashma, Alamo, Almas, Hina Urdak, Sirah Ghorgai, Nawan Killi, Tarin Shar, and Pashtunistan Chowk.
The statement called on QESCO authorities to ensure proper voltage supply in these areas and to immediately end unscheduled load shedding, removing all obstacles in electricity distribution.
