National Party Decides to Become Party in High Court Case Against Delay of Local Government Elections

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat):** The **National Party** has decided to become a party to the constitutional petition filed against the postponement of **local government elections in Quetta**, which was moved by ruling parties. The petition on behalf of the National Party will be submitted through the **National Party Lawyers Forum**, led by Provincial President and Chairman **Aslam Baloch**.

According to details, Aslam Baloch will file the petition at **11:00 am today** to formally join the case concerning the delay of the local government elections in Quetta. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the **National Party is a democratic party** and strongly opposes any postponement of local government elections.

He stated that the party will **actively participate in the elections** and will not allow ruling parties to **escape the electoral process**. Aslam Baloch accused the ruling parties of attempting to avoid elections and stressed that the National Party will not permit any obstruction to the democratic process.

It is noteworthy that the ruling parties, including the **Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP)**, have approached the **Balochistan High Court** seeking a delay in the local government elections. The hearing of the petition is scheduled for **December 23**.

The constitutional petition will be filed by **Rahib Khan Baloch Advocate** and other members of the **National Party Lawyers Forum**.
