Hazara Democratic Party Urges Political Parties Not to Hinder Local Elections in Quetta

**Quetta:** Abdul Khaliq Hazara, Chairman of the Hazara Democratic Party (HDP), along with senior party leaders, has urged political parties to play a proactive role in empowering citizens through local governance. Speaking during campaign corner meetings and public gatherings in Zarghun Town and Chiltan Town, he criticized parties that have sought delays in local elections, describing their actions as obstructing the transfer of authority to the grassroots level.

He noted that while the provincial government’s hesitation may stem from its own shortcomings, it is surprising that other political parties are also adopting a similar approach. Abdul Khaliq Hazara emphasized that solving Quetta’s civic problems is dependent on the functionality of local government institutions and stressed that the December 28 elections must proceed as scheduled. He expressed confidence that the HDP candidates will achieve significant success, reflecting the enthusiasm and support of the local population.
