Javed Latif Claims Two Serving Brigadiers Also Punished Alongside Former ISI Chief Faiz Hameed

**Lahore:** Senior Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Mian Javed Latif has claimed that two serving brigadiers were also punished along with former ISI chief Faiz Hameed.
Speaking during a program on a private news channel, Javed Latif said he had consistently maintained that facilitation existed within institutions, adding that others were now echoing the same view. He noted that even the defence minister had recently stated that there are individuals within institutions who want Imran Khan brought to power.
Continuing his remarks, Javed Latif said, “According to my information, two serving brigadiers have also been punished along with Faiz Hameed.”
He further stated that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif never mentions his political rivals or those who personally targeted him when they are facing hardship or standing trial. He recalled that when Nawaz Sharif named five individuals, they were in positions of power, which caused unrest among party members and allies at the time.
The PML-N leader also alleged that Faiz Hameed had close associations with several influential figures, including Qamar Javed Bajwa, Saqib Nisar and Bandial, and claimed that some PML-N members had also met them.
Javed Latif emphasized that standards should be applied equally, saying it should not be the case that meeting one side is labelled treason while meeting the other is considered acceptable. He added that actions should be judged on their impact, holding accountable those who cause harm regardless of affiliation.
