Women Hold Over 31,000 Federal Government Jobs in Pakistan

Islamabad:** Official figures regarding the number of women employed in federal government jobs have been released, revealing that more than 31,000 women are currently working across federal institutions.
According to official documents, a total of 31,455 women are employed in federal ministries, divisions, attached departments, subordinate offices, and constitutional bodies. Women currently make up 5.83 percent of the total federal workforce.
To obtain updated and comprehensive data, the Establishment Division has issued a fresh directive to all ministries and divisions, seeking reports on the implementation of the mandatory 10 percent quota reserved for women in federal employment.
The report further states that a total of 581,158 employees are working in 38 federal ministries and divisions. Of these, 550,126 are male employees, while 31,455 are female employees.
Officials say the data will help assess progress toward gender inclusion in federal services and ensure compliance with the women’s employment quota policy.
