Ahead of the World Cup, Pakistan will play six T20 matches — three in Sri Lanka in January and three at home against Australia. Other teams, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Ireland, and Zimbabwe, will not play any matches before the tournament.
Australia is set to play three T20s against Pakistan, while England will play three T20s in Sri Lanka in January. India will host a five-match T20 series at home and also play five T20s against New Zealand. South Africa is scheduled to host India for a series, and the West Indies will tour South Africa for three T20 matches.
In December and January, India will play the most matches with 10 T20s, followed by South Africa with eight. Pakistan and Sri Lanka will each play six matches, while New Zealand will participate in five T20s. Australia, England, and the West Indies will play three T20s each.
This pre-World Cup schedule ensures that teams are match-ready and provides a competitive edge ahead of the main event.
