Rawalpindi Police Inspector Iram Khanam Wins 2 Gold Medals at World Powerlifting Championship 2025

Rawalpindi — Police Inspector Iram Khanam made Pakistan proud by winning **two gold medals** at the **World Powerlifting Championship 2025**, held in Sri Lanka.
According to a police spokesperson, Iram Khanam also secured **first position in the deadlift category**, where she impressively defeated an Indian powerlifter to claim the top spot.
To honour her remarkable achievement, a special ceremony was held at the RPO Sheikhupura Range office. Deputy Inspector General of Police, Sheikhupura Range, **Athar Ismail**, presented her with a **certificate of appreciation and a cash award** on behalf of the police department. He praised her for bringing honour to the country and the force.
CPO Khalid Hamdani also lauded her success, saying that Inspector Iram Khanam is a “shining star of the Punjab Police” and that her victory is a moment of pride for the entire nation.
The World Powerlifting Championship 2025 took place in Sri Lanka, attracting top athletes from around the world.
