KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi Says PTI Founder Not Above Law, Feels Feiz Hameed’s Verdict Will Positively Impact Politics

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has stated that the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is not above the law and must face consequences. He added that the sentencing of General Faiz Hameed will have a positive effect on Pakistan’s political landscape.

Speaking to the media in Peshawar, Governor Kundi remarked, “The PTI founder did not descend from the sky to be immune from punishment. I will advise the Punjab government to consider shifting the PTI founder elsewhere, as the province is currently being run from Adiala.”

He highlighted administrative challenges, saying, “The secretariat has effectively been moved to Adiala. Secretaries are confused about whose instructions to follow. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a sensitive province; the federal and provincial governments must be on the same page. If the DPO takes orders directly from the Chief Minister, the police morale will suffer.”

The governor emphasized the need for coordination between provincial and federal authorities to maintain law, order, and governance standards.
