Abbottabad Police Reveal Rs3 Million Paid for Killing of Dr. Wardah

Abbottabad: A major development has surfaced in the murder case of Dr. Wardah Mushtaq, as investigators have discovered that the suspects allegedly paid Rs3 million to carry out the killing.
Abbottabad Police have sent a formal request to the FIA to examine the financial transactions of the nominated suspects to trace the monetary trail behind the crime.
Earlier, police arrested three suspects involved in the murder, including Dr. Wardah’s close friend. District Police Officer (DPO) Haroon-ur-Rasheed said the suspects confessed to killing Dr. Wardah and burying her near Thandiani. Initial findings suggest she was strangled to death.
According to the investigation, Dr. Wardah had entrusted 67 tolas of gold to her friend Rida for safekeeping. When she asked for it back, the suspect continued to delay. Police revealed that Rida had already pawned the gold and obtained Rs5 million against it.
On 4 December, the suspect allegedly lured Dr. Wardah from the hospital under the pretext of returning the gold, after which the victim disappeared and was later found murdered.
