Govt May Consider Transferring Imran Khan from Adiala Prison if Protests Continue: Rana Sanaullah

Islamabad:** Prime Minister’s Adviser **Rana Sanaullah** has said that if protests outside **Adiala Jail** continue on a regular basis, the government may consider transferring PTI founder **Imran Khan** to another prison.
Speaking on the Geo News program *Geo Pakistan*, Rana Sanaullah said that PTI as a party — and Imran Khan personally — have directly targeted state institutions. “People will not appreciate criticism against the institution. India is our enemy, yet Imran Khan sided with its propaganda,” he remarked.
He stated that there is currently **no mechanism** through which dialogue with PTI can be initiated. “We attempted talks in the past, but due to Imran Khan’s own statements, the situation reached a deadlock,” he said.
The adviser urged PTI not to disturb the law-and-order situation outside Adiala Jail. “If PTI makes it a routine to protest near the jail every Tuesday and Thursday, the government may consider transferring Imran Khan to another facility,” he warned.
Rana Sanaullah added that PTI as a party — and Imran Khan — must distance themselves from the events of **May 9** and apologize for their statements. “Only then could a way forward possibly emerge. If Imran Khan sticks to his current stance, the deadlock will remain.”
He also praised PPP Chairman **Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari**, saying that his political thinking has always been democratic and constructive. “We always wanted dialogue among all political parties. The DG ISPR himself has said that political parties should talk among themselves,” he added.
