Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan Vows Resistance if Governor’s Rule Imposed in KP; Announces National Consultative Conference

Islamabad: Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan (TTAP) held an emergency meeting to reaffirm its commitment to the supremacy of the Constitution and the protection of democratic norms. Senior party leaders attended the session, urging the government to demonstrate seriousness in dialogue, ensure implementation of court orders, and expedite hearings of pending cases against Imran Khan strictly on merit.

The meeting was chaired by Mehmood Khan Achakzai and attended by Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, Asad Qaiser, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar and other leaders. Participants strongly condemned the reported manhandling of Imran Khan’s sisters by police and government officials outside Adiala Jail.

**Declaration and Demands**
The party’s statement called on the government to restore visitation rights, honor judicial directives without delay, and resume sincere political dialogue. It also demanded immediate merit-based hearings for Imran Khan’s pending cases.


Expressing concern over discussions about imposing Governor’s Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the meeting declared that any unconstitutional move would be firmly resisted at all levels.

**National Consultative Conference Announced**
TTAP announced that a “National Consultative Conference” will be held on December 20–21 in Islamabad, inviting opposition parties, bar councils and human rights organizations to participate. A committee comprising Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, Hussain Ahmed Yousafzai and Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry has been formed to organize the event.

**Pak-Afghan Relations**
The meeting urged the immediate restoration of cross-border trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan and called on both countries to resolve disputes through diplomatic engagement.

Concluding the session, TTAP reiterated its pledge to uphold the Constitution and safeguard democratic traditions.
