Customs Foil Attempt to Import Banned Fireworks

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — Customs authorities have successfully intercepted an attempt to import banned fireworks into Pakistan.

According to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the suspects were trying to smuggle the prohibited fireworks through Dry Port Multan. Following instructions from the Collector, authorities inspected two consignments and recovered several kilograms of banned material.

These fireworks are prohibited under the Import Policy Order 2022. The estimated value of the seized goods, including duty and taxes evaded, amounts to Rs 220 million. FIRs have been registered against the suspects for further legal action.
