Pakistan Railways Breaks 30-Year Daily Revenue Record, Says Railway Minister

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi announced that Pakistan Railways has broken its 30-year record for daily revenue.

In a statement, the minister said that reforms implemented over the past eight months have led to an unprecedented increase in daily earnings, including both passenger and freight revenue. He added that for the past 15 days, the railway has been generating approximately PKR 300 million daily.

Hanif Abbasi said that under the ongoing modernization and reform process, Pakistan Railways has been fully digitalized nationwide, putting the institution on a path of growth and development.

The minister highlighted that along with station upgrades, special attention is being given to railway tracks. The track from Naukundi to Rohri and Rohri to Karachi will soon be improved, with agreements already finalized for the projects.

He further stated that the government aims to fully implement the Prime Minister’s vision this fiscal year, achieve all set targets, and complete all projects by December 31, 2026.
