ANP Condemns Administrative Division of Pashtun Region, Calls PTI Complicit in National Crime: Asghar Khan Achakzai

Quetta (Daily Qudrat): Leaders of the **Awami National Party (ANP)** have strongly criticized the administrative division of the Pashtun region, calling it an attack on the political, national, and historical rights of the Pashtun people. **ANP Provincial President Asghar Khan Achakzai** stated that the resolution passed by the Pashtun Khwa Assembly is condemnable and that the **Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)** is equally complicit in this national wrongdoing.

Speaking at a reference event marking the 16th death anniversary of eminent lawyer, writer, and Pashtun nationalist **Aziz Mama Advocate** at Quetta Press Club, party leaders emphasized that attempts to divide the Pashtun identity, political status, and geographic unity are deliberate and unacceptable. They highlighted the ongoing illegal occupation of tribal lands in Quetta and vowed to raise their voices against it.

The ANP reiterated its commitment to unifying the Pashtun homeland into a single administrative unit—**“Wahdat-e-Pashtunkhwa”**—ensuring full political, economic, and administrative rights for the Pashtun people. Leaders also criticized both government and opposition, labeling current political conflicts as a **“hybrid drama”** that benefits the elite while harming ordinary citizens.

The leaders paid tribute to **Aziz Mama Advocate**, calling him a multi-faceted personality, a devoted follower of **Bacha Khan’s philosophy**, a distinguished lawyer, intellectual, writer, and a role model for the youth. They noted that the ANP’s struggle is not for power but for the **rights, identity, and survival of the Pashtun nation**, promising to continue this fight.

Prominent attendees included provincial parliamentary leader **Engineer Zamrak Khan Achakzai**, provincial general secretary **Mabt Kaka**, additional secretary **Abdullah Abid**, and members of the Pashtun Students Federation.
