Punjab Establishes Fast-Track Cell for Immediate Release of GP Fund to Retired Employees

**Lahore:** In a major relief for retired government employees, a Fast-Track Cell has been established at the Accountant General (AG) Punjab Office to ensure the prompt disbursement of General Provident (GP) Fund payments without delays.

The cell was formally inaugurated by Additional Chief Secretary Punjab, Ahmed Raza Sarwar. The ceremony was attended by Accountant General Punjab Nummana Gul Rukh, AG Office officials, and employees from various departments retiring in 2025.

Addressing the participants, Ahmed Raza Sarwar said the purpose of the Fast-Track Cell is to facilitate retiring employees and eliminate unnecessary hurdles. *“Retired employees will no longer have to run from office to office,”* he assured.

AG Punjab Nummana Gul Rukh stated that the new system will bring greater transparency and efficiency. She added that employees’ data will be automatically updated every year, enabling them to receive their GP Fund smoothly at the time of retirement by simply submitting their file.

She further said, *“If any employee faces difficulty in receiving their GP Fund, the doors of my office are always open for assistance.”*

During the ceremony, retirees from various departments were also presented with their retirement sheets.
