National Games: Noreen Fatima Wins Gold in Women’s High Jump; Army’s Mohammad Akhtar Triumphs in 5000m

KARACHI: At the 35th National Games, Noreen Fatima of Pakistan WAPDA secured the gold medal in the women’s high jump by clearing 1.53 meters. In the same event, Amtal from HEC won silver, while Urooj of Pakistan Army claimed the bronze.

In the men’s 5000-meter race, Mohammad Akhtar representing the Pakistan Army clinched the gold medal, finishing in 14 minutes 36.41 seconds. Aamir Sohail of Pakistan WAPDA took silver, and Mohammad Zohaib from PAF earned the bronze.

In the men’s shot put event, Jamshed Ali of Pakistan Army won gold, fellow Army athlete Nosherwan took silver, and Sahibzada Kashif from HEC secured the bronze medal.
