Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal Break Silence on Wedding Cancellation, Deny Infidelity Rumors

Islamabad: Indian women’s cricket star **Smriti Mandhana** and musician **Palash Muchhal** have finally addressed the widespread speculation surrounding their cancelled wedding, putting an end to days of rumors circulating on social media.

Smriti Mandhana issued a brief but clear statement through her Instagram story, confirming that **the wedding has been called off**. She emphasized that she has always kept her personal life extremely private and, for that reason, only wished to clarify that *“the wedding is not happening.”*

Shortly after Smriti’s announcement, Palash Muchhal released a longer note on Instagram, strongly **denying the infidelity allegations** spreading online. He expressed deep hurt over the false accusations and said he had chosen to move forward with his life, but the baseless chatter had caused him significant distress.

Calling this phase *“the most difficult time of his life,”* Palash said he intended to deal with it with dignity. He also warned that his team would pursue **strict legal action** against anyone spreading defamatory or fabricated content.

The couple was originally scheduled to marry on **November 23, 2025**, in Sangli, Maharashtra. Their absence from media and social platforms began after Smriti’s father fell ill and Palash was later hospitalized. Smriti had also deleted all her engagement and wedding-related posts, fueling further speculation.

Rumors of a new wedding date on **December 7** continued to circulate, but the confirmations from both Smriti and Palash have now put all speculation to rest.
