Punjab Orders Strict Enforcement of One-Dish Rule and Crackdown on Loud Music at Weddings

LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to take strict action against violations of the one-dish rule and the unnecessary use of loudspeakers at weddings and other events.
According to details, a meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed all commissioners and deputy commissioners to ensure full implementation of the one-dish policy across the province. The chief minister also instructed authorities to take firm action against the use of excessively loud music at marriage ceremonies and other gatherings.
The meeting further approved measures to enforce the ban on illegal loudspeaker use at farmhouses and open grounds. It was also agreed in principle that the one-dish rule must be strictly implemented at all farmhouses and grounds hosting events.
Additionally, the chief minister ordered monitoring of the prescribed closing times for marriage halls to ensure compliance with official regulations.
