KP Weather Alert: Rain and Snow Forecast for Today and Tomorrow, PDMA Issues Warning
Peshawar (Daily Qudrat) – The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert for rain and snowfall in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa today and tomorrow. Intermittent rainfall is expected across various districts, while snow is likely in higher-altitude areas.
PDMA has instructed district administrations to take precautionary measures in advance. Rain and snow are expected in upper districts including Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Mansehra, and Abbottabad. Rainfall is also forecasted in Peshawar, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Khyber, Kurram, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan. Slippery roads are likely in hilly areas, posing risks to commuters.
Authorities have warned that rain may damage weak homes, electricity poles, advertisement boards, and solar panels. District administrations have been directed to ensure proper drainage and promptly inform residents and tourists about potential hazards.
