Quetta Jewelers Protest Detention of Two Goldsmiths, Shut Shops in Liaquat Bazaar

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) – Jewelers in Quetta staged a protest and closed their shops in Liaquat Bazaar against the detention of two goldsmiths by security forces. The incident occurred at Rehman Center in Liaquat Bazaar, where the goldsmiths were taken into custody and transferred to an undisclosed location, according to Mohammad Hussain, President of the Balochistan Registered Jewelers Association.
Hussain stated that the action has caused widespread fear and anxiety within the goldsmith community. He added that two other individuals had been detained last month, but no information regarding their whereabouts has been provided.
While the jewelers have historically cooperated with security forces, Hussain warned that such actions could be exploited by malicious elements, further spreading panic in the community. He urged the authorities to involve the jewelers in any investigation and assured that the community is willing to assist in addressing any illegal activities by its members.
