Quetta Railway Defaults on PKR 20.5 Million, Sui Southern Cuts Gas Supply to Station and DS Office

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) – The Quetta Railway Department has defaulted on a payment of PKR 20,545,900 to Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC). Due to non-payment, SSGC has disconnected gas connections to the railway station, the Deputy Superintendent (DS) office, and other related offices.
According to SSGC officials, the gas supply to the railway station, DS office, railway shed, and railway washing line office has been suspended. They also revealed that outstanding payments by Sui Gas consumers across the province have reached PKR 16 billion, including PKR 5 billion owed by provincial and federal departments.
Railway employees stated that the disconnection of gas has created difficulties in performing duties during the cold weather at the railway station and other offices.
