Claim About Removing Foreigners from Social Media Groups Declared Fake

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — A viral notification circulating among social media users in Pakistan claimed that the **Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA)** had instructed group admins to remove foreign members from Pakistani social media groups for security reasons.

The viral post alleged that, due to the current national security situation and online user data concerns, this measure was necessary, warning of legal action against admins who fail to comply.

However, the **PTA has strongly denied** these claims, issuing a clarification stating that the notification is completely fake. The authority emphasized that no instructions have been given to social media group admins to remove any foreign members.

The PTA urged the public to **avoid sharing unverified information** and rely only on official updates from the authority for accurate information regarding social media regulations.
