E-Challan System Creates New Challenge for Intercity Buses Entering Karachi

Karachi: The e-challan system has introduced another hurdle for intercity buses entering the city, as traffic police have begun issuing electronic tickets to all buses violating entry rules.

According to details, e-tickets are being issued to intercity buses that enter Karachi directly instead of using the designated Sohrab Goth Bus Terminal or Karachi Bus Terminal.

A spokesperson for the Traffic Police stated that strict legal action will be taken against buses violating these regulations. Drivers of the offending vehicles will face penalties, and continuous violations may result in further action.

The spokesperson emphasized that intercity buses must operate strictly within the limits of the two designated terminals. Unregulated entry of such buses into the city causes traffic congestion, increases the risk of accidents, and creates difficulties for citizens.

All transport operators have been strictly instructed to use only the approved terminals and fully comply with traffic laws, failing which additional stern measures will be taken.
