Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch Emphasizes 18th Constitutional Amendment as Pillar of Federal Strength, Urges Opposition to Rollback

**Quetta:** National Party leader and former Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch has lauded Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s remarks defending the 18th Constitutional Amendment and the NFC Award, describing them as highly positive and significant. He stated that these democratic and consensual reforms symbolize the strengthening of Pakistan’s federal structure and the political and economic empowerment of its provinces, achievements made possible through decades of democratic struggle and serious political efforts.
Dr. Baloch emphasized that all political and democratic parties should strongly oppose any attempts to roll back the 18th Amendment. He noted that the amendment and the NFC Award have empowered provinces, fostered trust among federal units, and safeguarded their political and economic rights, forming a cornerstone of the Charter of Democracy.
Highlighting the current political and economic challenges faced by the country, he called for united efforts by all democratic forces to protect constitutional supremacy, parliamentary authority, provincial autonomy, and the 18th Amendment. He assured that the National Party will continue advocating for the constitutional rights and resources of the provinces at every platform.
