Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Passes Resolution in Favor of Hazara Province

**Islamabad:** The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has passed a resolution supporting the creation of Hazara Province.

The resolution urges the federal government to immediately initiate the constitutional process under Article 239 of the Constitution of Pakistan to establish the new province, in response to the long-standing demands of the local population.

It directs the provincial government to complete all necessary consultative and administrative measures promptly and efficiently to facilitate the establishment of Hazara Province. The resolution states that forming the new province will fulfill the long-standing aspirations of the people in the region.

Additionally, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has been asked to prepare and submit recommendations regarding the provincial structure, boundaries, and administrative framework to the relevant forums to ensure no delays in the constitutional process.

The creation of Hazara Province has been a decades-long demand, and the region’s residents have been campaigning for it for many years.
