Captain Safdar Calls for Release of Bushra Bibi, Says Imran Khan “Should Also Be Let Go

Islamabad — Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader **Captain (R) Safdar** has urged authorities to release **Bushra Bibi**, the wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, saying she is likely suffering in jail.

In a video shared on social media platform X, Captain Safdar is seen speaking with Tasaddaq Awan. Awan, referring to Safdar’s long experience in various prisons including Adiala Jail, remarked that even “the man in Adiala” should now be released and that political hostility should end.

Responding, Captain Safdar agreed, saying:
**“I think they should let him go. He is 75 or 76 years old now. I don’t think he will do politics anymore. They should release him.”**

He added that whether Imran Khan is released or not is a separate matter, but **Bushra Bibi must be released**, noting that:
**“Bebo (Bushra Bibi) should be freed. She must be suffering in jail.”**

Safdar’s remarks come amid ongoing political tensions and legal proceedings involving the former prime minister and his wife.
