Fake Medicine Factory Raided in Quetta; Six Arrested, Supplies to Major Medical Stores Exposed

Quetta — **A joint raid by the Drug Task Force and FIA on a fake medicine packing factory in Nawan Kali, Quetta**, led to the seizure of substandard and unregistered medicines, along with raw materials and packing equipment. Six suspects, including the factory owner **Muhammad Tahir**, and **Nazir, Abdullah, Muhammad Yousuf, Muhammad Javed, and Aziz-ur-Rehman**, were arrested during the operation.

The raid, conducted under the supervision of **Drug Inspector Ali Ahmed Achakzai and FIA officials**, took place at a residential property in Mughalabad Shakir Colony. Authorities recovered medicines in capsules, strips, and raw material worth millions of rupees. Samples of the seized drugs have been sent to the **Drug Testing Laboratory** for analysis. A case will be registered against the accused in the **Drug Court**.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were also supplying fake medicines to **major medical stores in Quetta**, prompting authorities to plan a strict crackdown against the implicated outlets.
