Balochistan Government to Provide High-Speed Internet to High Schools, Colleges and Key Government Offices
Quetta (Daily Qudrat) — The Government of Balochistan has decided to provide high-speed internet across all districts by installing fiber optic cables and Digital Radio System (DRS) connectivity in high schools, colleges, and major government offices.
Provincial Secretary for Science and IT, Muhammad Ayaz Mandokhail, said the initiative aims to strengthen digital infrastructure in educational institutions and government departments, ensuring that modern technology and reliable internet access reach the public.
He stated that detailed data will be collected from every district regarding all high schools, colleges, and key offices to ensure smooth provision of fiber-optic connectivity. Deputy Commissioners have been asked to provide the names, GPS coordinates, and relevant information of these institutions to ensure transparent and efficient implementation of the project.
The secretary added that this initiative will not only improve the quality of education but also enhance the capacity of digital services in government offices, contributing to the province’s overall development and supporting the vision of a Digital Pakistan.
