Weather Forecast: Cold and Dry Conditions Expected Across Pakistan for the Next 7 Days

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — The **Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD)** has issued a weather update for the coming week, predicting **cold and dry conditions across most parts of the country**, with increased **fog and smog in the plains of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa**.
**Punjab:**
The plains of Punjab are likely to experience dense fog and smog. Cities including **Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, and Multan** may face reduced visibility. In Lahore, temperatures are expected to range between **9°C minimum and 25°C maximum**.
**Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:**
**Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, and Dera Ismail Khan** may witness morning and night fog, while the province will generally remain cold and dry. Fog intensity could increase during early morning and late-night hours.
**Sindh:**
Dry conditions are expected across Sindh. In **Karachi**, temperatures are likely to range between **14°C minimum and 31°C maximum**, with no significant changes expected.
**Islamabad:**
The federal capital will remain cold and dry, with temperatures ranging from **4°C to 23°C**.
**Northern Areas:**
**Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Hunza, and Skardu** will experience severe cold, with temperatures possibly dropping below zero. Early December may bring **light rainfall or snowfall** at some locations, intensifying the cold.
**Balochistan:**
Northern Balochistan will continue to experience cold and dry weather, while other regions of the province will also see a drop in temperatures, especially during night and morning hours.
The PMD has advised citizens to **take necessary precautions** during foggy and cold conditions, particularly while traveling.
