Alima Khan Taken into Interim Judicial Custody in November 26 Protest Case

Rawalpindi: Alima Khan, sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has been taken into interim judicial custody by order of the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in connection with the November 26 protest case.
The hearing against Alima Khan and 11 other accused in the protest case is ongoing in the Rawalpindi ATC. During the proceedings, Alima Khan requested permission to leave, stating that her lawyers were engaged in Supreme Court matters. However, Prosecutor Zaheer Shah stated that under Section 351 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the accused remains in judicial custody.
When Alima Khan attempted to leave the courtroom, female police officers took her back into custody inside the court premises. The court instructed that the accused must not leave the judicial complex. Alima Khan’s lawyer, Faisal Malik, also appeared in court.
It is worth noting that the court has issued multiple arrest warrants against Alima Khan in the November 26 protest case.
